    The Sundogs are still HOT!

Ok - so Tyler Redenbach didn't come back. But who needs him when you have Cory Urquhart? (He's got 8 goals and 6 assists)  I think the series is going just fine. If only Reeder would sit out a couple games!! Watch out Scorpions - I have a feeling that Monday it will be all over for you.

    Watch out-The Sundogs are HOT

    Tuesday, March 25, 2008, 10:04 PM [General]

Finally, the playoffs are here. My team, the Sundogs, have done outstanding this year. (In my opinion) They ended the season with their ninth win in a row, and in the March 19th game against the Rage, they rallied in the 3rd period from a five goal deficit to win in overtime 7-6. They have blown away my expectations, particularly with center Alex Leavitt leading the CHL regular season in points and assists. (I wonder why he didn't get the CHL MVP??) But I digress...

I guess my point is watch out New Mexico and whoever's next. The Sundogs are hot and only getting hotter! (especially if Tyler Redenbach returns)

    How to "Hockey Stop"

    Tuesday, December 26, 2006, 08:55 PM [General]

I've been playing roller hockey for a few years, but now, with an ice rink in town, I'm going to start playing pick up hockey.  I just got some CCM hockey skates and I've been practicing ice skating.  So far it's been going well-I just need help stopping properly.  Right now, I use my right foot to slow me down.  That  works OK, but, I'd like to be able to zoom up to the goalie and stop without running in to him while spraying ice in his face (like the pros).  So, if anyone has some tips or advice please let me know.

I hope everyone out there in Hockeyland had a great Christmas and will have an awesome New Year!

    Go SUNDOGS!!!

    Busy Holiday Weekend

    Wednesday, November 22, 2006, 10:03 AM [General]

I hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving.  I'm looking forward to hockey games tonight(Wednesday), Friday, and Saturday.  Tonight the Sundogs play the Ice Bats and this weekend they play the Jackalopes.  Since the Event Center opened in Prescott Valley, I've been busier than ever-and I love it.  It's so awesome to have a local professional hockey team.  Tomorrow, when I'm stuffing my face, with turkey and the other usual fare, the Sundogs will be one of the things that I am thankful for this Thanksgiving.

    GO SUNDOGS!!!!

    Sundogs home opener!!!

    Saturday, November 11, 2006, 02:19 PM [General]

Hello Sundogs fans!  Back in December, I won a contest to name the Arizona Sundogs.  As a result, I received season tickets and got to meet a variety of people, including Eric Lacroix, Hayne Ellis, and Marco Pietroniro.  Being a huge hockey fan, it was like a dream come true.  Since then, I have watched the Prescott Valley Events Center go from dirt to a brand-new, beautiful building.  Then, it all came to fruition last night when I was actually watching a professional hockey game in Prescott Valley (no more driving to Phoenix!).  Even though the Sundogs didn't win, I had an awesome time and the evenng was a success.  I'm going to keep my eye on #15 Torrie Wheat; he scored a hat trick against the Colorado Eagles in a pre-season game.  Hope to see you at a game.

    Go Sundogs!!!
